    Question Motor question

    Hi y'all

I have a question about an early modern that I acquired recently. Everything seems to work normally, as far as I can tell. The lights, the sound, and the mini slot machine in the center all seem to operate as they are supposed to. Now my question -- as soon as the machine is plugged in, the "payout motor" (I believe that is what it is) starts turning, causing a repetitive clicking noise. There are 2 plastic arms with rollers that glide along the gears and make a klip-klop-klip-klop sound (kind of like a horse trot? )
Anyway, it doesn't seem to affect the game at all, but the noise seems unnecessary. Is this normal?

I've attached a few pictures. In the last picture I've circled the area of "interest"

    Thanks!!

I have a '90 model Pochi that does the same thing.

It's normal.. .unfortunately. I've installed a small switch on my machine to make it easier to turn on and off with out having to plug and unplug.

I think in the Pachinko Parlours.. where there were hundreds of machines running and ball plinking and bells ringing... no one noticed the sounds of the motors.

Cheers for this, I was going to post the same question about my old Magic Carpet hanemono that does the same thing. I'm glad to know it's not something about to break.
