Default Repairing broken tabs on white trim for vintages

Don't know if it can be useful, at least maybe give some idea.. Here's how I repaired the broken tabs on the white trim of my model B pachinko.

The while trim have tabs at an extremity, and screwed on the door on the other side, so only the extremity with tabs need a solution.

I made using kind of hook using a metal wire like this, you can use a paper clip if needed

The goal is to hold the base of this hook solidly in the plastic trim, the hook must be positioned at the same position of the missing tab. For this purpose, you need to carve the plastic a bit so the base get flush under the trim, otherwise you will end up with a space between the trim and the door.

I used Gorilla glue to secure the base. Before the gorilla glue was completely cured, I flatted out the glue to be sure everything except the hook is flush to the trim border.

The hook must be large enough to not move up and down in the door hole when in it. The hook need to be bent just enough so you insert it extremity, slide the white trim toward the screws and the angle of the hook will pull the extremity of the white trim toward the door surface.

Here is a drawing of the hook partially in the hole (top view)

Sliding the white trim toward the right will make the hook pull the trim extremity. Then use the screws to hold the other extremity of the trim.

No need to place many hooks, just one to replace the broken tab at the extremity of the white trim. the tension create by the hook angle toward the door, and the screws, will hold the white trim tightly.

Hope this help, sorry I had some difficulty to explain.
