Default Pinball Hall of Fame Experience!

    Hi Guys,

Just thought I'd share my excitement with my recent visit to the Pinball Hall of Fame in Las Vegas this week. Although I'm here in on business I made time to come here and have a visit.

This is definitely a "must do" in Vegas if you want something other than losing $20 in ten minutes at some overinflated Hotel Casino. After nearly 30 years of visiting this town every year you tend to find better alternatives (my family lived here) and this was great.

They have a great collection from all era's. I started with some old wood rails, on to the classic wedge heads and finally on to the adrenaline pumping modern machines that were outstanding.

All the machines were in perfect working order. One wood rail that I played had a made a buzzing sound when using the left flipper that was cool to hear when I used it. I got to the point during the game where I couldnt wait to hear it again. There was no lack of power in that flipper and only added to the experience. Kind of like riding an old wooden roller coaster and hearing the boards move/crack. Just a nostalgic feeling.

The collection of moderns is outstanding to say the least. You could spend several hours on those alone. Simpson, Family Guy, South Park, Iron Man, Pirates of the Caribean, NASCAR, Batman, just to name a few. I have to say this is the best "arcade" I'd ever been in!

Theres a collection of the old coin op video games as well such as Asteroids, Defender (my personal fave), Mrs. Pacman, Mario bros, Tron, etc. for all you 80's geeks like me.

I highly promote straying away from the regular strip stuff to help support the guys over at the Pinball Hall of Fame and keep this legacy alive!!!

    Good Honest Fun!!!

Heres a few lame Blackberry Camera photos but its better then nothing!!

    Enjoy

That must be from the recent move.

That tile floor has to be crazy-loud. I remember how loud the previous location was. And that was carpeted. A lovely royal blue shag, i think.

Someplace with that many machines has got to have carpeting to help with the noise.

Yes I was wondering about that myself and then I saw a sign that gave you instructions on to use your smartphone (IPhone, Blackberry) to scan these codes and it will take you straight to information webpage about that particular machine.

Very clever I thought. I guess because of the fact that this place is considered a museum as well as an arcade.
