The name of the machine is Sandiego, but it is located (of course) in the Far East I'm afraid...

Me too!

He's (JAC) got a number of his older classic moderns and so forth up for grabs with only tiny starts. Looks like they are clearing out their older machines - perhaps all the money these days is in the newer flashy models.

I'm working on the wife, but no move to Japan, yet!!

Can you figure out the theme? Also, the tulips have two numbers on them each as well as a letter but I don't see any corresponding lettered buttons anywhere for a bonus mode type situation. Could be Sammy was just using up xtra parts. The upper pockets look a little unusual too...

Still don't know what the theme is but Compirate posted a good photo of another copy of this machine in that amazing series of arepachi pics. It looks like each of the lower pockets lights two numbers when they're hit. If you get one in the upper outer pockets it will light the corresponding two pockets below (depicted by the letters on each upper pocket). The middle top is the "jackpot" so to speak. Hitting it will light up 8 numbers. I am surmising here but that seems straightforward. I'll know soon enough and post vids and pics.

I'm pretty sure the theme is an American diner (well, a Japanese thoughts about one), as San Diego is such a well known city in Japan.

The view is out a window, towards some American looking cars in a parking lot. In reverse in the window is the english word 'SAMMY'. On the wood panelled wall inside, to the right, is a menu posted up for burgers and fries. Inside, to the left front, is some toast popping out of an electric toaster and some pickles(??).

Not the most inspired theme perhaps, but that's my read on it.

Just got an email from the deputy service notifying me that this machine shipped out. It should be here in a week or so. It would have shipped out a few days earlier had I visited their website and saw that they were waiting for my input as far as packaging choices, etc. The shipping cost was 31,200 Yen plus another 1200Yen for xtra packing for a total of 355 bucks. Anyway, I'm not too crazy on the theme of this one but I do love the fact that it has 7 pockets that light up multiple lights. So I am going to change the cell on this one to one of the other Satomi's that Compirate has posted. It's still an original Satomi design so that satisfies my desire for originality for the most part. I'm leaning towards the one with the woman on it but either will look cool.
