Default Shooter stopped shooting, power problem?

Hi all, this is my first post here on Pachitalk.

So I've just bought my first pachinko machine after years of admiration (a Maturi Giant Seven). I got it from slot-pachinko.com, looks great, everything works, was packaged great.

Me and the friends were playing it for about an hour out of the box when the machine decided to stop shooting, and won't shoot anymore. A friend was playing it and it just stopped, no one bumped or jostled it to make it break.

Everything else works fine still, except for that in addition to the shooter stopping working, the little LED light on the card-reader gadget is now off, whereas it was on the whole time before that. So really my only assumption as a newbie is that all the electronics on the front lost power, but what that means (or if that's even the case) I don't know.

Sound familiar to anyone? Suggestions? Thanks!

P.S. Looking around here on the forum I'm reading something about a dongle causing similar problems, anyone have an opinion?

    Hello, welcome to PachiTalk

Sorry I don't have that model, but...

Take a look at the back of your pachinko, there is usually a strange looking 'dongle' that can sometimes need unplugging and reseating or just jiggling about, they can get knocked easily

here's a link to a post that shows you where the dongle is usually located

Also I know you probably already know this but do make sure you are contacting the grounding ring around the shooter knob with your hand, some pachinkos are more sensitive than others and require more of a contact

Let us know how you get on with this, and I'm sure other Members will offer suggestions too

It sounds like a dongle problem to me..It may just be loose or something..

Your dongle will most likely either look like the one in post #11 in the link hanabi posted or like this one here..which is the same thing just with a plastic housing!!
    Dongle 1.jpg

While looking at the back of your machine your dongle will be on the lower right..Here are 2 pics I just took of my Maturi that may help..the first one is without it plugged in and the second with the dongle plugged in..

I would try unplugging then plugging your dongle back in to see if that fixes it...If that doesn't work you may need a new dongle..Hope this helps!!

    And...
    WELCOME!!!
