Some people even buy them, then put them away to gather dust without even using them.
Just so the likes of you and me can't get one.

If I could find one I would happily put it away to gather dust til I never got around to building a feeding system.

I still need to put feet on 3 vintage pachis, I did buy the wood...

    Oi I resemble that remark!!

Mine is a treasured item, purchased from Sir Arby himself, and is lovingly wrapped and stored away awaiting it's great unveiling, when my extension is built...

But yes, tis true that they are extremely rare in the UK, you will most likely need to import from USA (if you can find one) or Japan

Yeah at the exact moment you no longer have the cash to buy one.

Its murphy's law of ball lifters- the odds of finding one are inversely proportional to the amount of money you have to spend on one at any given time.

well if one does come up or if any one feels like removing one from under the stairs please let me know as i have the cash here waiting for one at the moment. looking around the $300 mark + shipping. from what infomation i have found out.

as for the ebay seller with pallet think it might have been i recived a email from and he was saying that they had some in that worked out at $750 a pop think thats a little too rich for me.

so supprized no one has worked out a patten for one as from what i can see in youtube vids etc

all it is is a 24v motor 2 sprung loaded presure switches and some pcb know how with cogs and metal work skills to make.

when i have got my other projects out the way might get me and one of our sister companys on the case.

as im sure can be built for a resonable price.

but untill then im a looking.

Kiai can get you one, he got mine for me. He keeps an eye out for used ones also. New ones cost 18000 yen while used ran 9000 yen. The new ones ended up costing me with shipping around $260 each.

Is that what they're going for these days? I'd be tempted to look under the stairs for my one for that sort of money. I think I paid around £130 for mine which would be ~$200, but my one looks like it has been well used.

One of these days I'm going to have to prototype my revolutionary new ball lifter idea, and see if it will actually work, or if it falls on the wrong side of the line between genius and insanity.
