Default Its Here (lots of pictures)

Looks like I'll need some help with this one. It's intact though and I love it already. I tried putting balls in the top hopper on the back and they just run straight down to where the bottom tray should be.
    Here are some pictures

It works! I put the leaver on the back from open to shut position (duh). Put balls in and it sodding works. Ingenious ball recycling.

That's a beauty you have there! Congrats on your new machine!!

The model A machines are really cool the way they recycle the balls.

Is it possible to remove all of the pitting? I've managed to get rid of most of the worst on the front with wire wool.

There has been much discussion on that very topic over the years, however everything I have read on this site and others is that the pitting is permanent. I have also been unsuccessful removing it from my machines despite the many methods I have tried.

I think it's okay for pitting and signs of age to remain on a Vintage pachinko after it's initial cleaning etc

for me, it just adds that nice well loved antique / vintage look that i think can only add to the appeal of these amazing machines

i have a sankyo vintage which had some pitting in the chrome on the front door .i couldn't get all the pitting out .it looks better than it did ,but not perfect .what is pitted below the surface of the chrome plating is there for good .the only way to get rid of it would be to grind the surface smooth and re chrome it .that could get expensive ,i don't think a little "patina"is bad for a vintage antique .if you just clean it up the best you can ,you will be able to enjoy it .

Spring adjustment thing on shooter is very very rusty, I'm worried it might break. Going to get a dremel and hopefully the father-inlaw still has his tumbler. It really needs taking apart to clean properly plus it will be fun. I wish there were more vintages in the UK to buy that need doing up.
