    Default Sankyo Fever:Ghost?

    Hello all.

I am new to these forums as I just discovered them tonight. Talk about information overload!

Anyway, I am going to go look at a Sankyo pachinko machine tomorrow and I was wondering if anyone here could identify it and tell me what kind of price I should be looking to pay.

I've talked to the current owner and he tells me the machine is in excellent condition and that everything works, but I'll be sure to look it over very well before I make my purchase.

I can't really tell from the picture, but he says it is marked "Sankyo Fever:Ghost", from information that I've found on the internet, it seems that it is a Sankyo machine, but I'm not sure of the model as the picture I have isn't very good.

Can any of you tell me anything at all about this machine before I purchase it? ANY information would be helpful.

His asking price is $100.00, but I think I can get him down to $75-80.

any more modern working pachinko is worth that price, and even a better deal if it comes with a lot of balls

you can test the payouts by opening the glass and dropping a ball in different pockets.

Thank you both for the quick answers. If this thing turns out to be in as good of shape as he claims it is, I think I'll be the new owner tomorrow.

Another question though, I was looking around the "Research Center" for an owners manual for this machine and was unable to find anything. Any idea where I can find such a thing?

I bought and fixed up a few "vintage" machines about 10 years ago, but these "modern" machines are completely new to me.

    Any help is appreciated.

    Hello,

There aren't 'Owners Manuals' for specific machines really, sometimes you can find a little play guide with a few pics and lots of Japanese writing

But I see you have already found our Research Centre, so if you look at the Pachinko FAQs section, you will find some links to useful topics such as Modern Pachinko playing, also game set up, etc etc

Also if you have any specific queries / questions the Members here are usually very good at providing the answers, or pointing you in the right direction

So, I ended up buying this this for $50.00

It only came with about 100 balls, so I need to find a good source for those. About how many would be needed for a machine of this type?

Everything seems to be working, I've opened the door and dropped balls into the payout slots and the machine does react to it. Overall it's in really good shape and just need some minor breakdown and cleaning.

The volume switch in on the back seems to have no effect at all, this thing is REALLY loud. I'll have to look into that.

Anyway, I'll post better pictures and more questions as I go.

Thanks in advance for everyone's help.

the factory ball hopper will hold about 1000 balls..

if it were mine i would build a custom cabinet for it to hold more balls... it gets old realy fast shifting balls from the bottom back to the top..

check out our Cabinet section for lots and lots if ideas

    Pachinko Cabinets

ebay is a great place to get balls..

but a better place is our own auction site.. ya will have to registar for it... but the benifit is a small portion of your payment goes to the website for support..

my personal dealings with Rita have been nothing but the best

    take a look at this

You know that is one very funky looking pachi!!

You got an absolute bargain there

btw the factory volume controls on most pachinkos don't turn down enough for home use, (although there are a few exceptions) so most people end up fitting there own volume controls, if you do a 'search' of the forums you will find a lot of posts / threads regarding this subject

and if you just want a temp measure, so you can play it whilst you decide what to do, then I'm told that socks work quite well...
