this machine powers on and the credit window shows the 1-6 when you press the reset button but no matter what i do it wont do anything else. then when i plug in the coin hopper the power goes off all together? is this an easy fix or is it dead??? please help.

tried that will try again when the hopper is hooked up it wont do anything at all ??? btw like the kate bush theme im a big fan of her have been for years. (im from scotland)

OK so now the machine(with the hopper connected) turns on spits out a few coins and then dies???

so when you plug it in it spits a few tokens then shuts off?? or it only did this onece and is now dead??

any lights at all??

take some time and try unpluging and repluging in any and all connections you can find...

I'm not too technical with electrical stuff, but when you say it 'dies' do you mean it loses all power?? or that it just stops paying out or making a noise??

The usual questions are:

Have any error codes been displayed??

Is the hopper seated / connected properly?? Does it need cleaning?? Are there any tokens jammed or blocking it??

I know we have some very knowledgeable Members here and hopefully one of them will chime in with suggestions on how to trouble shoot this one

the machine spits out a few tokens when i turn it on then no lights nothing but a low hum? then i turn it off then on again same again . when i disconnect the hopper i get the 1-6 thing but nothing i do will make it do anything else?

Take your hopper out. Look around the bottom half of it for a switch. If you see one throw it the other way! Then shove it back in and turn on your machine. See if that helps reset it.

ok deep breath here we go . took the whole machine apart to clean it (full of roaches) it came from a dirty house.i mean i took everything right down to the main board apart and rebuilt it sooooooo . now it turns on and i can throw in a few tokens and play it it lights up wheels turn etc butttttttttt this is with the hopper (no switch on bottom) disconected if i hook it up its dead again . the credit window only shows a couple of dashes too??? getting close though lol

machine appears to be running now exept when it tried to pay out (no hopper connected) so it said hj hopper jammed the problem now is thatif i connect the hopper to let it pay out it shuts down. cant believe i got this far though it is running which is better than a small red light that kept going out.

Ok so now i have the machine running seems to play ok but only with the hopper disconected .so cant pay out. when i connect the hopper it dies no lights nothing . is this the hopper itsself or the board it connects to??? i tried the motor etc it still spits out a coin or 2 before it dies??? where can i buy parts for these without getting a second mortgage??

Check the socket on the back of the case that the hopper plugs into. It needs to be somewhat loose so the contacts will line up properly. check to see if it has been screwed tightly to the back of the case. If so then loosen the screws a couple of turns so the socket can jiggle around. This will allow the hopper and socket enough free play to align properly. I had this happen once. had troubles similar to yours because of it! good luck!
