    Very cool Mopar!!

Is that a Hilton logo I see on it as well? I'd love to have an EM to keep my Jennings company myself.

either of my ballys have payouts that are in dollers not in coin counts..

its my understanding that a machine that pays 5 coin is easy to convert a machine that pays 1 doller or 5 dollers is a bit harder cause u have to then get new payout glass and change allot more..

and my sega is my first slot so i kinda have a bit of attachement to it..

i am having trouble getting my nickel Bally to pay anything, the perfect slot it accepts money but won't pay.

Back to yours, I suspect your issue is in the reel contacts, if it pays other times. It might not be reading the slots (not hitting the contacts with the wiper arms) I assume yours is EM, with actual slots, wiper arms and contact dots.

what is the model number of your machine ? i have some schematics for the 873 ,and a few others .first thing to check is for any broken off wires ,especially in the reel contact boards ,and the board on the payout hopper .make sure all of the contacts are clean ,and properly adjusted .

im not sure what the model # is?? the id tag is gone from its side...

the contacts look clean adn allthough its hard to see all the wires they look to be intack..

i do notice that the payout lite "jackpot paid" on the front is on all the time now..

if it is a 5 line ,it is probably a 873 .a lot of the times ,the casinos wrote the model no on the reel mech with a black marker ,probably so they knew what fit what .anyway ,if the winner paid light is on while playing ,check the zero stop bumper on the payout hopper .it's very common for them to stick to the cam ,and not allowing the hopper to reset after a payout .i can post a pic of it if you like .

HPIM0222.jpg the rubber bumper rests on the cam ,opening the zero switch when there is no payout . when the payout counter steps ,the cam is supposed to fall from the switch and close it ,to allow the reset coil to operate on the next handle pull .but when the cam sticks to the rubber ,it will remain open .this is due to the rubber deteriorating to the point that it becomes sticky ,it happens to all of these older slots .

i found that the payout hopper had not reset back to zero from a previous payout.. so it was stuck waiting for a reset..

found the trip point to unload the spring and return the hopper to start position.. the piece your pointing at had a spring that had come loose.. i wonder it that started the problem?? my other ballys is a slightly different setup and has no spring..

thank you verry much for all your help
