    Default Modified Pachinko ball counter

I bought a Pachinko ball counter from Gaku on Ebay. I really like this accessory but I wanted to have it sit vertically so I de-soldered all of the LED displays and re-soldered them to a blank circuit board.

I already have an arcade coin slot hooked up to my Pinball Dave's Pachinko Card Emulator which gives me one credit per coin. Now I need to find a single counter for counting only the quarters that are played.

The plan is to build a cabinet similar to this Coin Operated Star Wars machine.

Too long, I look back now and wonder what drove me to take on such a challenge.

I didn't keep track of the hours I spent but after 4 days,I figure it must have taken at least 6 hours to re wire everything. Each LED display has 14 chip pins, so that's 14 X 4 = 56 plus 2 more for display that shows the minus / negative symbol. A total of 58 wires trimmed and soldered. I'm very happy that the counter still works after the surgery.

Very cool! I love the counters and Gaku did a great job designing them. Good job on the mod.
