    Default sanyo comet II

    Hello there,
I am new to this and got a couple of model Pachinko (vintage) machines. I tried them out and they seem to be in good working order I think but I need to read on your site here and see what they are missing. Any suggestions on what I can do to better learn how to play or what is not working on my models? I have a sanyo comet II, Niihshiien model A, & a super Deluxe model B I think. Thanks for any help and suggestions you can give me as I am new to this.

    Welcome to PachiTalk David!!

You have come to the right place to find out all about your Vintages, at the top of the vintage Forum there are a few 'sticky' posts, one of them explains how a vintage pachinko works and there are also some Videos showing the various models working, Vintage Pachinko

The members here will be very happy to help you, and provide information and advice to get your pachinkos running smoothly

I do know that they will probably ask you for pics of your machines, usually front and rear, to help identify not only the machines you have, but also if there are any problems or parts not quite right or needing adjusting

p.s. if you need any help on how to post pics, then this link explains how to post a pic

    Hello To All,
Mopar formances your videos were awesome and helped me to identify a lot of things. Okay so here are some simple ?'s for you guys. What years did the Model B come from when to when? Same question for model A & Sanyo Comet II Please advise me thanks?

Next ? what power source can I hook the lights up with a 9 volt I am guessing? The reason I ask is on the back of my Model B it says 10 volt which I am guessing means it needs more power then 9 v correct? If so what do you recommned to use what volt battery? Thanks for your help and responses back to me.
    Dave
Oh pictures will have to take later as I am in the middle of trying to get the llights hooked up.

    Hello to all,
Can someone tell me where I can find info on the lighting schematics for a model A. Some of the wires have been cut so I need to see/find out what wires and lights went where originally. Can someone please help/advise me thanks.

Rusty worked up this wiring diagram and it helped me. I use a 9 volt battery as the power source and I replace the bulbs with 7.5 volt bulbs from Radio Shack. The lower voltage bulbs flash brighter and I have never had one burn out.

my guess for dates would be

all the variations of the Model "A" thew about 74 or so

    i would say "B" threw 78- 79 or so

Model C threw the verry early 80's

if someone has better dates please post

Only thing I would add here is that I have found "overlap" between models. For instance, I have seen a 1972 Model A machine and 1972 Model B machine from the same company. I also have a Model C that is dated 1978 and a Model B that is circa 1978.

I would guess that some (or most) manufacturers "transitioned" between models to accommodate the type of machine the parlors were set up for, as well as built the type of machine the parlour wanted.

    Just my two cents.

Thanks guys for the info. Here is a better ? for you guys. Where is the date stamped or labeled on my machines? What years have you seen for Sanyo Comet II rough estimate? What model i.e. B, A, is a Sanyo Comet II? Thanks for the lighting diagram and for all your help. I will take pictures tonight or tomorrow and post here. You guys are the best thanks again.

i wana say all dates... but i guess its not all machines dont ahve a date.. as far as dates go we use the expiration sticker from the parlor as a date referance.. then with the understanding that most machines were played for 18 to 24 months.. give or take...

the sticker is "usualy" put in the lower right of the cell but some times there are in other corners...

check out Bill's site for a great referance on date stickers and how to read them

Determine Age of your Pachinko Machine

Model "A" "B" "C" are referances to Nishijin machines... so i would call your comet II a comet II.. for referance purpous i would call it a Model "B style" of machine

    Hello there,
Thanks for answering my questions. Is there any way I could see a close up of a Model A Back of machine so I could see what the wires & bulbs are supposed to look like? I would really appreciate it if I could as I am missing something in my model A and I am not sure what it is please advise thanks. Also do you have any suggestions on what can fix a sticky jackpost lever. My model A sometimes has trouble giving jackpot its sticky I guess I looked at it and it looks fine. However sometimes you have to shake the machine a little bit to get it to pay. So I am thinking something back there is sticking since I saw your video of a model A I thought I would ask you about this and the lights thanks for your help.
