Default fully cyclic, with auto start, revisited?

    hi guys/gals.

I tried to find some old posts about how to make a machine auto play and fully cyclic.

(please don't yell. I thought I would NEVER want to do this, but I have become a convert, after buying this fully cyclic, auto start Vader)

the links with instructions of how to do this are dead.

can someone post pix and instructions how to do this? I remember a thread about lumina going cyclic?

my first victim is going to be my original star wars machine, but don't worry, as always, I plan to do this as reversible as possible.

compirate told me that a blinky LED on one of the connections in back will get the spins going. I would switch this to have it optional. my Vader works that you can turn if off and use the balls to hit the start pocket for spins.

my question is how to disable jackpots and fake the machine into thinking there are balls in the top hopper?

There are some articles in the research centre

    here's the Lumina one

There is also one for the Taiyo Elec but the pics are no longer linked...

thanks hanabi, but that's semi cyclic (balls to bottom tray). I did find fully cyclic in another post.

    Fully cyclic Lumina

what I need is how to do the electronics, and how to trigger the pachi-counter.

Indy gone cyclic - with a twist

is one way, but I hate to hack my payout mechanism that much. anyone have a spare mechanism for sale?

hey luckydog, do you still like the cyclics? I am heading that way, I think, for all my future moderns.

Oops Sorry, the nearest I get to being remotely cyclic is using a daverob dongle

cyclic is fun playing with only 25 balls or just pressing autoplay button for reaches on screen,

but, I do prefer the full fever experience

you don't have to fool the hopper into thinking there are balls. The game plays fine with an empty hopper. just unplug the payout motor.

That works for the Lumina, but not some others, like the Crystella. The frame lights don't work unless it thinks there's balls in the system.

my heiwa machines were very easy to make full cyclic. All I had to do was remove a ramp, block a path with a piece of plastic and cut a small hole with a dremel tool. To switch back I just replace the ramp and remove the block that is just taped in. The ramp covers the cut hole and it is just like new.

I have a lumina and a Kyoraku that are semi cyclic witch I find annoying as you are still moving balls back to the upper tray all the time and if you don't watch it is easy to back balls up into the cell.

I got the lumina this way and switched it back, just remover a block and had to add a few chunks of plastic to replace cut ramps, it still gets a jam now and then but if I tap on the frame it will clear. I plan on doing the full cyclic mod to it soon as it has been cut already and I enjoy a challenge and playing cyclic.

The kyoraku was annoying to get even just semi cyclic as I had to cut part of the metal frame and I think 3 plastic parts. I did the mod on it for a few reasons, I got the machine for $30, the payout motor and tracks in the back are not in the best shape, it takes forever from payout to payout, and it pays out a lot when you do win so lots of ball handling. I want to open it back up and try to mod it to the top tray as it will be perfect then.

I enjoy the full parlor experience with my dongles and ball trays but sometimes it is just fun to sit and watch without moving 400lbs of balls an hour.

I am lucky that the modded ones I have work without balls in the back and as long as the ball out and back payment lights are removed you never know anything is off from the front.
