Do a 'wiggle test' un plug and re-seat a couple times every connector near the display and video board. Hope for the best!
Connectors are often point of failure and cheapest to correct.

My Dai Yamato does that for about 2-3 minutes until it warms up... the odd thing is my Galaxy Railways and Eva 2 don't and all 3 are Lumina frame models...

Once it's warmed up it runs like a champ... I have yet to swap cells around to see if it's the transformer/frame or if it's the cell itself.

the first starwars in the lumina frame is prone to issues with startup. The cell I turned into a clock has trouble even when it is in a 70* room. Like slothappy said, check connections. I just spent 20 hours troubleshooting a mill and all our troubles were caused by poorly seated connections, true we had to check around 200 connectors but it works loke a dream now.

good luck and welcome to pachitalk

I checked the cables and couldn't find anything loose is there any area in particular
that I should be looking at?
Is there a trick to getting to the LCD connections other than taking it apart pc by pc?
I have tried letting it warm up, it seems like its not getting a good video signal. the screen gos through all the motions, just its bits of color moving , like the digital signal is scattered???

Pictures of the screen would help a lot, is there a pattern to the coloured blocks, as if it's trying to display the correct picture but can't get the signal quite right, or is it totally random.

I would initially suspect a cable problem, make sure that you unplug and reconnect the connectors, even if they look ok they may have been disturbed during shipping and no longer making good contact. Also if you tap the plastic housings (I use a screwdriver handle) while watching the screen for any changes, this could indicate the area where there are connection problems.

If the cables are all fine, then it may be a fault with either the LCD panel itself or the video CPU board, and if you can contact your vendor to either exchange the machine, or get replacement boards shipped out, this might be the best time to do it.

To my knowledge the SW DV model doesn't have start up problems like the older SW in the lumina frame. I would definitely follow daverob's advice above and contact your vendor for a replacement machine or parts.
