Just bought a second Modern, my wife is gonna kill me

Well last week I received my first modern pachi (super sea story) and today I paid for my second. I just bought a Gladiator X Nine Drums. So now the ever so torturous wait for it to arrive. It seems to be in great shape and I hope I did not pay too much for it ($125 +$50s&h) it does come with some balls but I am not sure how many. The seller says everything is working as it should. So we shall see in a week or so.

Well she thought the Super Sea Story was "Cute" when I first unveiled it. last night I was testing it to make sure everything was working after I squared up the frame. After I was done she walked over to it and looked at it for a while then asked if she could play it. Her face Lights up every time she makes it in and the reels spin She denies it of course. So there may be a Pachi lover in her too but she will never tell me that.

Now on the Gladiator Nine Drums are the reels actually reels or is it a lcd screen? I was watching a video on it and that dawned on me because I could not tell.

This is one of my few modern machines. It is 9 actual reels that do all sorts of groovy things. I think it is a fun game (albeit with annoying, repetitive music). My wife find the machine OBNOXIOUS. I have to agree, but it's an absolute hit at parties. The fevers are a thrill ride.

Have fun. You said it came with some balls. I'd recommend about 3000 in that machine to deal with the fevers. As for helping your wife cope, hold a couple of the balls in your hand and say, "Hey Honey, look at my balls!"

Well I just got my second one, and to be honest I told her have no fear, MORE are coming as soon as I can scrape together a little more cash... For me anime and pachinko are a bad and EXPENSIVE addition. I just told her you can not take it with you...

Sounds fair to me. Best way to receive spousal support is to find one that they will like and then you're good to go. Glad she likes the Sea Story and congratulations on your two pachinkos.

MY 16 year old daughter's friends are now taking a liking to them and want to play my 2! That is driving her nuts since she sees her daddy as weird and she tells me thats okay, thats why we love you, you're weird... Ah yes 16 year olds...

My kids & wife like the Moderns better than the vintage. I'm still a big fan of the full mechanical machines. Just watching the work from the back is cool, plus getting one that does not work and figuring out why & how to fix it is fun.

UPS is killing me! It was supposed to be delivered on Friday but now it says "Exception" under shipping status. It seems they forgot to load it on the truck . So I am guessing it will be delivered tomorrow, Hope it comes in one piece, every day it is in the hands of Brown my chances dwindle.

Well I also just bought 5 more vintage ones last week . I still have to go pick them up from my sisters house. That will make 9 Pachis so far. I'm going to have to make some cabinets and start charging people to play them LOL.

IT'S HERE! Well it is a little more used than I was expecting and was not packaged very well (lost most of the balls). The wood on the frame split some during shipping so I will see if I can get a small refund to cover the lost balls & the damage. Not enough damage to justify paying the return shipping on it. My camera is at home but I will get some pictures when I bring it tomorrow.

wait till this innocent little hobby of 5 or 6 pachis stems to harder and more dngerouse stuff like jukeboxes pinball machines fruitmachines heck anything that has a coin slot and is entertaining or pritty to look at then the joys and glee of the fedex man coming turn to dread and intrepidation of will she be awake wil she be in can i just hide it in the corner somewhere and she wont notice it for a while thus meaning she hasent missed the money or realised some more stuff has take space in the house slowley giving over to becoming a personal arcade
