    Default Power Connection

My newest vintage has a power plug connection that did not lend itself to ease of connection nor could I readily put my hands on a compatible plug. I first thought I woud try to soilder the wires on there but didn't really like such a permenant connection. You can see the plug connection in the first photo.

So I went to Radio Shack to see what kind of plug they had... maybe I would be lucky. They didn't have any plug remotely close to what I needed. So as I was looking for alternatives I came cross a cheap solution.

In the second photo you can see what I purchased for $1.99. The third photo is where I made the test fitting to insure it would work before I broke off the connectors. In the last photo you can see how the plugs worked. The wires are from a 9v DC wall wart transformer.

Now my Sankyo machine has lights as any good Pachinko should!

Yeah... I wondered how quick someone would notice that!

That was the way I received the machine. I guess I need to put in a real one.

Well at least when the fuse is blown on this pachi, you can be sure that it's indicate an other problem somewhere like shortcut..

And if the house even catch on fire, you can find where the pachi was.. search for the fuse.. Can even reuse it..

my fuse was wrapped in aluminum foil on one of my machines. I was going to replace it with a new fuse, then I thought, it is only running on a 9 volt battery, so why bother?

your situation, however, where you are actually running to the house wiring, does warrant a real fuse. don't want your pachi to go up in smoke.

just wondering about picture 2. did you have to buy a D plug, just to use the crimp connections? you can actually buy just the little aluminum crimp connectors by themselves. I have a little drawer of them

Yeah I bought the complete connector. I didn't see any packages of the connectors by themselves and I figured that if the size wasn't right, I could always use the D-Connector for something.. plus ... a lot of things that use that plug don't use all the pins anyway...

    plus.. it was two bucks.

I probably thought about it to much anyway. Taxed my brain to spend $2.
