Default Ball rail reattaching method-- strong/easy

I experimented with a couple methods to reattach the rails on my 50Ft Woman machine.

The easiest, strongest, and best turned out to be the following. See pics.

I used plastic coated 90lb braided stainless cable. Cut off about 4" for each, crimped it into a pin shape, yanked it from the back with vice grips, and drove a tiny #2 screw into the hole, driving it flush, and clipped the tag ends.

So far I've been lucky enough to reuse the original track "cotter pins" but if any of them break this is a good option.

    Thanks for sharing!

    great idea!

I used a paperclip, my always available fall back, on the visible PF when I broke the original cotter pin. bent a very short U turn and used only one arm of the U into the original hole (since paperclips are thicker). dab of goop held this into the original sized hole. and, they will probably rust like the originals, too
