    Default Power Flash "Alice" project

    Howdy Folks ,

Well mudfud helped me get a "Little Man" Power Flash that i picked up last Saturday and help her with the new arrivals and played about a dozen games on her San Francisco Pinball

I have some before and after my 85% restoration and the thought that ran though my brain when the "Evil" Queen Yellow tulips closed all the tulips that why not make this machine a true Lewis Carrol machine with the origonal drawings from the book .

I await your comments and support here are the pictures that i took enjoy !!

    neat idea!

With all the PF' that seem to be coming out of the woodwork lately, making yours unique is a spectacular idea.

Ditto what Compirate said. That's such a great machine as it is. Just doesn't seem right to do that to a PF. I'm just sayin.

just so long as the mods are reversible, I say "go for it!"

except for the visible PF, and I did keep the original wood cell intact, all my mods are planned to be reversible.

just in case I want to put them on the antiques road show, I will always have the original (front plastic for euromat, original cell for sumo changes, original playfield plastics for pinball, etc...).

no one's knocking my value down by saying "well, if you only had the original blah-blah, it would be worth more..."

Thanks all for the comments . This Power Flash may have looked like it is all complete but with the back top tray busted , the front top tray carved up and gooped all over it , The Queen with damage on the red Q , Lower left spinner missing it's front I really think that a "Alice in Wonderland " Modification the way i will do it will just make it look visually Unique and kick it up a notch. You've seen my work in the past so you know i like a good looking restore . I did find the sticky back clear mate ink jet printable and white sticky back ink jet printable at my local Beverly's craft shop .

You should check out local craft shops in your area with the cool stuff that they have .

as long as you don't Dog Barf Paint it like I've seen some of the rescued machines that our members corrected the paint/stain and fixed them right up .

    Howdy Folks ,

Well i thought about the levers and coils system in the hidden back secured by staples so tonight i removed the staples and did a real through cleaning and polishing via 91% alcohol , Q-Tips , and "Miracle Cloth" . I replace the staples with 5x1/2 Brass Round Head Wood Screws . here's some pictures enjoy

I thought that i would do a placement test on the cell and post the picture ( We Love Pictures ! ) and want to hear some comments about it .

Some of the drawings will change cause I do so want the Jabberwocky somewhere on the Cell as well as some other origonal drawings .

Whew !!! over 70 origonal drawings for both origonal texts and i just Scaned , fixed , and stored over 61 drawings on my computer . I did get the white sticky back ink jet paper as well as the clear heatless lamanation BUT i might just use the clear Cling plastic that the local craft shop has . I might even check the local Office Depot or Staples for it at maybe a lower cost per sheet .

My new idea is that i can do the old "Colorforms "

    http://www.amazon.com/University-Gam...0208112&sr=8-1

The idea is that i can change the artwork whenever i want and just print, trim , and place Behind the Clear Cling Plastic so then i could keep them in a special protected folder on a slick "Holding " sheet in a UV protected Large Envelope

I'm having a ton of fun with this project !

Well i did use the clear vinyl sticky sheets with the origonal drawings from all Three Books about Alice

I carefully trimed the clear sticky vinyl so that only a small contact area around the art is there to hold it . So here is the "Alice" Power Flash MK I. "Share and enjoy"
