    Talking Yamasa Gundam II

    Hi All,
Well my first Pachislo arrived this week and I thought a few photos would help those of you on the fence take the plunge - this one is great (especially if you are an anime addict). The first thing that I was blown away by was the LCD...pics do not do it justice...15" LCD - huge!

Graphics are well done and there are a bunch of mini-scenes during regular play to break up the main shot (a pan shot off the bridge of white base). The little "T" handles on each side are a nice touch and let you select your bonus round method - One walks you through a part of the storyline as you play focusing on Ramba Ral attacking the White Base, the other is a "Battle Mode" where the LCD has a new set of reels with different mobile suits you need to align to progress.

A few thoughts...if your machine comes with 250 tokens you will really need to get about 500 more just to make it thru the big bonus rounds w/o the machine going nuts when you run out (I may also get a credit-add mod to make it even easier). The volume is actually realy good out of the box using the red volume knob - it has a ton of settings and even an off setting (turn dial counter-clock to lower volume).

Big to Rita and Blue Hotaru - game was very well packed with expanding foam so it avoided the UPS guys rage

I dare not show these pics to my little boy, he is a big Transformers and robot fan, and I know he would really want this one the minute he saw it!!

I would tell Rita that I NEED the Gatchaman, Evangelion and Getter Robo Pachi's but then she would tell me I NEED to find more disposable income!

    Need is a funny thing...

So after Compirate was kind enough to inform me that the counter I got was for a pachislo not pachinko I decided to hook it up to the Yamasa. One cable inside to the payout board and I was up and running. "Borrowed" the power supply from my Galaxy Railways and fired it up. WOW - this would give Stevie Wonder an epileptic fit when you hit a bonus round.

I just uploaded a quick low-rez video of the pachi and battle-counter during a Big bonus "MS Battle" round. Sorry for the poor quality, my XL-1 is in the shop for repairs.
