    Default My Nishijin C Pachinko

I picked this baby up from a guy who was going to THROW IT IN THE TRASH! It is very clean, has all of the parts, and it took me only a few hours to wire the lighting and install an on/off switch. Now I just need to get some balls and I can see if it really works. What do you guys think???
Can anybody tell me what the name of this game is?

Welcome to PachiTalk and congrats on finding such a beautiful machine!! It looks awesome!!!

Most vintage machines don't have official names, so you are free to make up any name you want. Looking at the theme of the center piece, I might want to call it the "Three Clowns", but the final choice is yours.

Please post more photos of the front and back. We are a very "hungry" bunch and the only way to satisfy our hunger is with lots of photos.

    I hear you...

    Now comes the stupid question:

After I load the balls in the back (I'm waiting on balls from eBay), how do I make the machine shoot? I do not see where the balls load to the shooter.

Now for a little background on me and Pachinko:
When I was about 5 years old, my neighbor came back from a trip overseas and brought a Pachinko machine with him. The design was similar to mine, but his had a monkey that climbed a tree instead of clowns.
Anyways, my neighbor had a son that was two years older than me and he always invited us neighborhood kids over to watch him play Pachinko. He never let any of us touch the machine and he always hid the balls after he finished playing so we couldn't play.
One day, he had a birthday sleepover and he was the first one to fall asleep, so the rest of us conducted a thorough search of the house. We found the balls hidden under the kitchen sink and we loaded the machine. We forgot how loud the jackpot was, and needless to say, his parents were none too happy with our antics. My few flicks of the shooter were pure magic to me.
I have never played Pachinko since. I have seen machines on eBay and observed a few pieces of junk at yard sales, but was never inclined to buy one for the astronomical asking prices.
Which leads me to yesterday. I am a cable guy, and I was working on a Sunday in a run-down neighborhood. While I was on my last installation, the homeowner told me that he was going to be throwing a bunch of stuff into a large dumpster that the city provided for the neighborhood to do their yearly cleanup. Then I saw him take a sheet off of that beautiful pachinko machine and he said, "I'm finally going to chuck this thing!"
As soon as he saw my jaw drop, the machine went from trash to treasure in his eyes. I ended up dropping $20 on it, and I smiled the whole way home. Now here I am... back with my first love.

I watched all of your videos, but I didn't see where the balls loaded. My front top tray does not come off, as far as I can see. I guess I'll just have to wait on those balls.

There appears to be some Japanese writing on the center (just below the 3 clown faces) and over on the right hand side (3 characters in a little red box). Can we have a clear pictures of those please?

You don't need to remove the front tray to load it just place balls in top of it.

yes there is.. on the back right there is a loop or tab to open the front glass.. it is about middle of the machine far right.. once u lift that loop or tab the front glass will open..

now from the front behind the glass lower left side there will be a metal puch button.. would look like a simple bent piece metal.. push it down and that will release the shooter tray to swing out .. it will be hinged on the right side...

at the hinged side the botom is a spring loaded hinge taht u can lift up and then remove the whole shooter tray...

    hope that makes sense

the first sticker is the Parlor date sticker.. it is the sticker that is put on the machine to certify by the state for use in a pachinko parlor.. they are dated with an expiration date... the date on yours is covered up by the plastic trim

now after looking at the second pic ... i dont know what the sticker is but i can see the glass is open and the tab to open the shooter tray is right there in your own pic

Congrats your find and the re-introduction to pachinko. Did anyone mention that this could quickly develope into an addition? (They are lying I tell you!)

Anyway... I really like the C model machines because the mechanical components are easier to work with. If you look at your machine you'll find 5 or 6 plastic 'round clips' that hold the back components on. Squeezing these clips together you can pul the complete mechanism set off giving you the ability to lay it on a table and for a really deep cleaning. Your's may not need this.. but just for future reference.

Good luck and welcome to the addiction... errr... Support Group... errr... I mean website.

All but one of the clips is broken, so I had to improvise with some wood screws and big metal washers to hold it on. I cleaned the innards really well with plastic cleaner and got everything moving smoothly. On a side note, when I popped open the feeder tray, I found a bunch of funny-sized steel balls jammed in it. They look like slingshot ammo (since the balls have two flat sides). They measure approx. 10mm, so they jammed up real good in the tray. I worked them out with a little coaxing and now everything looks good. Now I just have to wait for the balls to arrive.
