Default Correct Lock for my Daido Tako Pachinko

    Hey all,

When I received my Daido Tako Pachinko a few months back, there was a lock in the frame, but it was not the correct one - what's the best place to go to locate the correct lock?

    Thanks,

    Matt!

It is my understanding that "correct" locks do not have keys available...

What kind of lock was in your machine?? If you had a key for that lock would it work or is it just totally the wrong kind of lock?? Just wondering

Did you ever find a key? I have the same machine, and took the lock to a local locksmith and yhey told me $30 to make a new key.... any suggestions?

Can you remove the pins from the lock so any key will open it?

i love when a 7 year old thread gets some love!! Lol.

I ended up up removing the lock entirely, and just running a pull string inside that was attached to the lever.

If $30 gets you a new key, and you like the wait it looks with the lock, I say just do it.

Also, coincidentally, I just sold this machine a few months ago for $250!!

What a coincidence! I acquired the same model as part of a collection sold five months ago It also had the pull string which worked well but I happened to have one spare Omron lock which worked out well. To find an original lock may cost more in the end.

If you don't mind the lock that is there already then I agree with spending the $30. Keep in mind if it's some aftermarket type of key it may not turn left and right as originally designed. Turning left simply opens just the glass face to access the play field. You can easily do this from inside with the door opened. De-pining the lock is okay too.

All good ideas. It's all about how original you want it and at what cost.
