As of today 500 Yen = $5.56 USD. A 40 foot High Boy container can hold say 400 Pachinko's. 400 X's $5.56 USD = $2224.00 USD. Whats the cost of shipping a 40 foot High Boy Container?

    Lets say $5000.00. $5000 + $2224 = $7224 / 400 = $18.06 per Pachi.

Who do we know that LOVES Pachinko's in the U.S. of A?

    Answer ! ! !

Hahahaha good point! Now quick question...Why are we sending them to the Eastern most member again? Sounds like we need to rethink our logistics since it would be cheaper freight-wise to Cali especially San Francisco!!! Who lives in the Bay area?

I looked at this one on Ebay, Jurassic Park Pachinko on eBay.ca (item 320501332303 end time 12-Apr-10 1157 EDT)

For fun I asked the seller for a shipping quote to Canada, here's his response.

    Hello.
Thank you for seeing my page.

The Insurance and carriage from Japan to Canada is 620US$.
    The machine arrives within 10days.

The machine is large and heavy.
It is the cheapest to send the machine by the economy mail of DHL.
If you are a corporation, the ship can transport the machine.
Transportation by the ship is very cheap.
Moreover, the carriage per one becomes cheap as for the carriage as the number of sent machines increases.
    ?either ship or airplane.?
Please ask me anytime if you have some question.
    Thank you.

    Seems cost prohibitive to me.

What this ebay seller makes even more funny is the fact that the only buyer who obviously got four machines from him and left positive feedback never received a feedback from the seller. Considering the buyers location and his other activities (look at his feedbacks) for me this stinks...

    Update time

I received the Eva 5 and Vicki cells this week

It took 50 days to get them by boat, (actually 7 weeks for one and 7 weeks, 1 day for the other)

It's certainly a way to save on shipping, but you have to be patient (I still have a month to wait for Nadesico )

mudfud and i are in Northern California and maybe some other members . Mudfud and I both know how to properly ship a machine but the biggest problem is how many of the machines shipped will be duds and will be used for parts ?

So how do the cells get from the boat to you? Is that cost included?

You have to meet them at sea in the middle of the night, in your pachi-runner boat, lights off

Yes, shipping by slo-boat includes the to your door part too.
