Pink Panther Pachislo: Stop Buttons Don't Work

Hi!
I have owned my Pink-Panther Pachislo for over 10 years, and suddenly the 3 Stop buttons and the Bet button no longer work.
I have to wait for the auto-timeout for the wheels to stop.
I have checked inside to make sure all connections and wires are seated properly.
Any help would be greatly appreciated...We Love Our Machine!

Hello, Welcome to PachiTalk

I was going to suggest that the buttons may be stuck / need cleaning, but that wouldn't account for all of them and the Bet button failing at the same time??

Also checking connections, but you have already done that

Check also that there are no wires getting caught / pinched in the door, as this has happened before to others

I'm pretty sure some of our more technically minded members will offer you advice on what to check next

but in the meantime

I didn't find the Pink Panther pachislo in the research center ... so, may I ask if the buttons on the machine have lights, and if they do, are they still lit?

pull and reseat wires to buttons and stop board.

you could also try cleaning the contacts on cables

I am going to try these things, plus check out the fuse on the stop board this afternoon when I get home.
I also read that it could be a stuck joystick/start lever, so I will check that too.

OK, the fuse on the stop board was dead, so I put in another one, and smoke started to come off the board, so I quickly shut the power back off.

Without the fuse out, same problem, reel stopping is not working. The Stop Lights do illuminate, so it isn't the joystick.

What would cause the problem with the fuse?

Well, after reseating all of the connectors and putting in another new fuse, it started working again!

Thanks! The only issue I have now, which I have had since I got the machine, is that one stop button is flakey...it works, but you have to press it a lot, sometimes.
I switched the flakey button to another stop-slot to make sure it is THAT button, and it is. Is there any way to clean or take apart one of these stop buttons?

Unfortunately those are different buttons than the ones I have.
Mine are cylindrical and look wholly contained, molded into the plastic.
I don't think they can be cleaned. I took one out and examined it good, it appears fine.

Would there be any other reason for button slow/no response sometimes on Pachislo machines? I have reseated all of the button connections, nothing changed.
