I got this one! Found out it was one of my neighbors. I can't pick it up until Friday because he is out of town, but will post pictures this weekend.

Well I picked up the machine as scheduled this afternoon. It has the standard Sankyo 'B' series mechanics front and back, however the playfield configuration is different from anything I have seen. It has 14 win pockets, with 7 in a row near the middle.

Overall, the machine is in near pristine condition with the exception of the usual dust and some tape residue on the front (which can be easily removed). You can see from the photos that the brass pins still have some shine and the cell has no water stains that I can see. It came with one of the original plastic ball trays and some printed instructions.

The only missing pieces are the fuse holder for the electrical connnections, and the linkage for the "jackpot hopper empty" shut off mechanism. Both can be easily replaced from another machine in my garage that just became a parts machine!

I haven't had a chance to load it with balls yet or see how the pockets work. I will do that tomorrow and post an update.

Not a bad find for $40!! I'm Happy.

OK... I had a chance to run some balls through the machine today. First problem I found was that a steel ball smaller than a pachinko ball was jammed in the Jackpot payout mechanism, so I had to perform some minor surgey to get it working. Other than that, it really just needs a good cleaning.

One thing I learned about this machine almost immediatly after I started playing it is that it is an easy machine, meaning that I was able to score serious jackpots with little effort thanks to 14 win pockets. I can't imagine that any parlour would have wanted this machine.

One cool feature is the "Mini Mouth" pocket near the bottom (see photo). When a ball falls in the center it opens the two side holes to give the machine two additional win pockets for a grand total of 16 win pockets. I created a youtube video to demonstrate how it works.

It's a really fun machine, but it needs a lot of balls in the jackpot hopper for all of the pay outs the machine generates. Probably a good machine for anyone who doesn't understand the allure of pachinkos.

Interesting pockets. I suppose the tulip below was supposed to open when you put that first ball in the top? I can imagine how hard it would be to get the most from that - open the Mini-Mouth, then get one in the tulip below it first, then one of the side pockets of the MM, then the tulip, then the other side, then the tulip again. I've seen games like that, makes them that much more skill.

Yes, it was supposed to but didn't during the video. That is why a kind of stumbled while I was narrating. I tried it since and every ball dropped in the top of the Mini Mouth opened the tulip.

The nails are already pretty tight. If I tighten them much more then the balls will not fit between them.

I have some friends that have played with my other vintages and just couldn't get into them because they didn't get many jackpots. I think I will have them play this machine and see if I can get them hooked.
