    Default Playmatic Space Gambler

    Hey folks,

In addition to my Space Shuttle and Kiwame, a Playmatic Space Gambler joins the family. However the machine has a bit of a boo-boo. It doesn't power on (it has a random black wire with no end to it that is on the 7th Jones Plug, bah)

If any of you have playmatic space gambler pictures (in the backbox) that'd be great so I can see them. IPDB and flippers.be are fairly limited in quality photos especially in this region.

The PF is in great shape as all the Playmatic ones were clear-coated with some sort of hard acrylic material. I hope to get this puppy humming!

I also intend to get to do more work on my Williams Space Shuttle pin this week since I am having new PF lights and rubbers shipped in.
    Pachislos: Kiwame
Pinballs: Space Shuttle, Space Gambler, Millionaire, Whirlwind, Rollergames, The Addams Family, Demolition Man 2000 (custom pin)

Well, I have the manual and most of the schematics. Marco spec didn't send me one of the MPU and decoder modules (which I have a feeling are where this goes to), so they are sending me those at the time.

The problem is the schematics don't really have any outline of the jones plugs at the bottom of the head, so it can be hard at times to make heads or tails of it.

Have you read that wire with a meter? I would check it with power off and check it against a Ground using the Ohm scale to see if it reads "Dead" short and then turn the machine on and read it again using both DC and AC settings to ground with the meter to see if it reads any AC or DC voltage.

At least that will give you a direction as to what it is doing.

Mr pinball lists only one person registered owning it. http://www.xmission.com/~daina/tpcr/search_tpcr.cgi
He gave his email and phone number so contact them and see if he still have it.
    he posted this note:
