    Default Electroplating

Has anyone mess with Electroplating? I saw this Electroplating System Tin Zinc on Eastwood Electroplating System Tin Zinc .I was thinking of using them on metal parts that are all rusted on my machines, because I notice when I dip the metal parts in CLR, they get all gray and dull! The only metal you can't use it on, is Aluminum and Diecast!

Check out post #29 and #33 in this thread:

Also, here is another thread with a great dicussion about electroplating:

    http://www.pachitalk.com/forums/vint...s-what-do.html

I believe both threads talk about the tin zinc electroplating system.

I highly recommend the Caswell copychrome electroless nickel plating. I have a posting here that shows the results on some old rusty spinners. I've used it many times over the years and it hasn't let me down. Looks just like chrome and very durable.
