    Default question on Light bulbs

The pictures are from the light panel on my Sammy Arepachi light board. None of the bulbs have numbers. Can someone help please. I am going to have to order them so i will need a bulb number. Thanks

That is the problem I do not know the voltages. I would guess they are small but really do not know.

Can you test the socket with a volt meter?

Does the Pachi have a transformer? There might be a voltage rating on it. I have several voltage bulbs here for all of my Pinn's of that type and could send you one of that voltage to check. If it's too dim we can work from there.

Best option would be to fine someone that has a meter and cheek the voltage at the bulb socket.

The pachi has a transformer and it says on one side ov with a 2A over a 115 and on the other side it says 100v Nt-2.
The lights remind me of the ones I used to have on a pinball.

The neighbor came over and checked the voltage and he said it was 5.2 volts.

I hope that helps new in town find the right one for me or somebody.

interesting, so a 6V should do it. You might find them in a Radio Shack or an auto parts store (that stocks older parts). If you measure the diameter of the metal base and the lamp itself, and divide it by .125, that will be the 'T' number of the base and the bulb - Miniature Bayonet Type base. ('T' means tubular shaped)

    (10) 44 Miniature Indicator Lamp - 6.3 Volts - T 3-1/4 Miniature Bayonet Base - EIKO 44 Light Bulb

    (10) 47 Miniature Indicator Lamp - 6.3 Volts - T 3-1/4 Miniature Bayonet Base - EIKO 47 Light Bulb

    (10) 6MB Miniature Indicator Lamp - 6 Volt - T2-1/2 Mini Bay Base - EIKO 6MB Light Bulb

I'm not saying any of these will work for you, but they look potentially right to me. The difference between the first two is brightness (look at the amps, higher - brighter, but more heat). Top two are 13/32" (0.40625), bottom one is 5/16" (0.3125) dia.

Well I certainly do not want to have too much heat. It will melt the plastic. Will wait and try what newintown is sending. The voltage should help him decide what to send and they do remind me of the pinball lights I use to put in when I was alot younger.

    Got your PM's

How many do you need? 1000 Bulbs has a minimum order cost of $4.00 + shipping. The Shipping would be $9.93. They also have these which are rated at 5000 hours and only .15 amp which would not be Too hot for your Pachi.

    (10) 1847 Miniature Indicator Lamp - 6.3 Volt - T3-1/4 Mini Bay Base - EIKO 1847 Light Bulb

but you would have to order 3 boxes which would be 30 bulbs for a total of $14.22 which comes out to $0.474 cents a bulb.

Radio Shack carries them in a 2 Pack for $1.79 + tax. They are also .15 amp.

The ones that light up the 4x4 matrix in my Satomi have the number "1893" on their bases and work fine. However, when I put those bulbs in the "coin empty/needs service" light in the upper right corner they immediately blow. TTC has experienced the same thing.

The 1893's are 14 volts, so makes me wonder what the others are if these pop in the other slots.

I'd definitely only get a couple of any if you can to try till you know better

Yes I think this is the best advice. I will wait on getting a couple to try. Knowing nothing about electricity I wonder if putting a 14 volt bulb in a 6 volt will burn hotter or cooler. Certainly do not need to melt anything and I do not want to buy a bunch of bulbs that I cannot use.

Still interested in any other feedback I can get.

If the 14v lights up it will be very dim and cool, start with a 6v and light it up outside of the machine and see if it gets too hot to touch, but if the voltage is 5.2 volts I think a 6v will work with out overheating.

I would like to thank again all of the people who gave advice and were very helpful. Me an electricty do not work well together.

    Now the results.

The 6v bulb works but it was way too bright. You have 16 of them in a three inch square.

The Number 1893 bulb works just great. It gives off enough lite to play the machine and you do not have to worry about leaving it plugged in and causing problems.

    I again thank you all.
