    Default Gamera LCD

What would cause my Gamera LCD to sometimes go out then back on? Is this a bad sign that the LED screen is going bad or the buld needs to be replaced?

loose connection was my first thought but I seem to remember an issue with Gamera LCDs going dark. Try a search and see if you can find the thread.

The LCD light where would I find that? I took the LCD totally apart but the only light was on the outside about 8 inches size of a pencil.

There should be a tiny one (like 2-3mm dia) at the top and bottom of the LCD, probably inside the LCD framework itself, for the backlighting. There will be an external power supply for them, usually connected with a pink and a white wire.

Not this one, but like it.

Be careful, that's high voltage to those lights.

Well spent a couple of hours taking apart the LCD still nothing. When you turn on the machine screen is great the goes away. You can see the animation faintly thats about it. I think it this board that is in the picture. If it is I'm out of luck?

Credit for the picture is from "New In Town" in a great LCD breakdown.

Yep. Either that or the Tube itself. What is the Temperature in the Room that the Pachi is in?

Has the Temp gone down with the colder Weather?

Turn the Machine for about 30 minuets, let it warm up, shut it off then turn it back on. My Ultraman ST is "Cold Nature'd" at times.

Temp is between 71 and 83 all year long. Well I'm going to look for the spare part on Ebay and Stealth site. I will let you all no if it works.
