    Default Ball Release (shooter)

Hi, recently got my first pachinko (a Thuderbirds model). I have noticed that the ball release (fully clockwise) does not appear to fire the balls with the same velocity as when i first started using the machine (a few days ago), so getting a ball round the right hand side is some what tricky now. Is there a control, or way to modify how fast/hard the balls are released.

    thanks

    Hello,

The shooter knob shouldn't need to be fully clockwise to shoot, at least it doesn't on all my pachinkos

Although I have noticed that some pachinkos require more of your hand to be contacting the 'grounding ring' part of the shooter (not sure if that's the correct term )

Does the Shooter look like it needs cleaning around the grounding ring area?? perhaps a good contact is not being made??

Hopefully other member can offer more advice to you, in the meantime, Welcome to PachiTalk!!

I agree with Hanabi, maybe you hold the knob more relax now and touch a bit less of the metal ring.

On one of my pachi, I must constantly remember to make good contact with a lot of the ring otherwise the machine does shoot. Try to make full contact just too test if it's the cause of the problem, if it didn't change anything, then you can investigate further.

Not familiar with your specific frame, but some do have adjustments. Give us a picture of the rear bottom and we'll let you know.

I remember when I first started using my machine I kept forgetting to touch the metal ring and my last machine was a Vintage so I KEPT wondering what the heck I was doing wrong... BTW I saw the Thunderbird Machine when it came out it looked really kewl but money was a REAL premium then, I think a Captain Scarlett should be made or a UFO one but then again I cruise too much on the Fanderson website... Enjoy the machine it looks really good!

I just realize.. is it Thunderbird in the Pallet Cube frame from Fuji? you can check to this link:

    Fuji Pallet Cube Frame Gamelist

If so, I have The Ring (Ringu) in this frame, and this is the machine I always have to remember to hold the knob properly. The metal ring on the knob is not properly positioned for easy touching while playing...

Thanks very much for the responses, I think it was lack of grounding, and all appears fine now - i make sure i am touching the metal ring.

I have attached pictures of the back of the machine, so if there is a way of adjusting ball release, would be a useful bit of info should the need arise.

TilionMtl - it is not the unit you mention from Fuji

    many thanks

From the writing on the back it's probably the Thunderbirds 2 in the Fuji Gear Shock frame.
