    Default Nishijin 'C' Butterfly Cell

Seller did an excellent job packing this up! He had the brilliant idea to take a box with handholes, and tape it over the top of the shipping box. Box shows no signs of being dropped! PURE GENIUS! Foam was packed on all four sides, with cutouts to surround all the vital parts!

Came without a transformer, and no front plexi. Not a problem. After giving it a quick cleanup, installing a transformer and some plexi, I plugged her in... nothing...

Pulled the motor apart, and cleaned out all the dirt, and it started to turn. Sweet! Loaded the shooter tray with balls and... nothing...

The plastic mechanism that feeds the balls onto the launch ramp was broken... oh, $^@*... I took the pieces to work, and made a shim out of a .020" feeler guage. a little super glue, and... we have ball launching!

Everything is now working great! Will definitely need some more deep cleaning. I'm kind of worried about the decals, as they seem to be made of some really thin paper, and show signs of wear.

I have an idea for a cool cabinet made from an old microwave cart my wife wanted to throw out, so I'll post pics of that too.

nice machine. love the center piece. good for you northwesterners with all the rain! oops, forgot you were florida... guess you get some rain storms down there, too?

could you post pix of your shooter fix for reference? that sounds like a good one.

I love all the foam around that one. they did a good job protecting it.

    Thats great Ikaria!

Nice of the seller to appreciate how precious that machine is and protect it so well!

I bid on that one but knew it needed a transformer and didnt want to deal with the knob if it didnt work (too many other machines to work on) so I kept my high bid low and no sniping.

I'm glad you won it and got it working with little effort. Good job!

    Congrats and enjoy!!

Couple months, and we'll have all the rain we can stand... and then some.

Pictures of the assembly. I put the end of the guage with the hole over the pin, then sanded down the metal to remove the overhang. If you look close you can see where it was broken.

I'm going to need a 24v transformer (12-0-12 centertap). What amp. do you guys think? The only thing 24v is the shooter and one light. There are (4) 12v lights, 3 for the jackpot, and 1 for the hopper.

i have been buying 2 amp transformers from radioshack for thelast year.. i think i have bought 6 or 8 so far... power flash machines and circuit racer... the only problem i ever has was with an Arangeball machine (Arepachi) it neeced more amps to run the larger solonoids for the ball drop and coin shoot... for thouse i bought this one

Skycraft Parts & Surplus, Inc. - Search

as u can see its a 4 amp the problem with the 4 amp is it has no spliter wire for the lights

my advice would be the one from radio shack for starters

Purchased a 5 transformers from www.mpja.com/ down in S. Florida, which arrived yesterday (2 day turnaround). Picked up a 24v 2amp for this one ($5.75), and (4) 12v 1amps for the other vintages ($2.75 ea.). Already have this one wired up. Pictures coming soon.

Very similar... if not the same.

Forgot to mention that I ended up replacing the leaf switches with standard OMRON switches for the winning lights, and the lower tray full kill switch.

The centerpiece definitely looks like two people with umbrellas are crossing the road at a cross walk, traffic light colors underneath.
