Default Trip to Japan possible. Should I?

My son is going to Japan (Kyoto, land at Osaka) in May on business (about 12 days)
I have an opportunity to go with him by paying my airfare and meals. Does anyone recommend this trip for sightseeing and pashislo/pachinko parlor visiting.
Should I look for any machines to ship back or parlor signs to decorate my game room?
Things to look out for, things to do or not to do, whatever!!!
    Any suggestions would be appreciated?

    GO! GO! GO!
Other members that have dealt with getting things directly from Japan could help you figure out the best way to ship things back.
When you go to a pachinko Parlor you should bing back one of the things they give you to turn in to get "credit" for your winnings. Take LOTS of pictures. I mean LOTS!!

I think it sounds like a great oppertunity for 2 reasons u will get to see both pachinko and pachislo in a real parlor.. and if u can figure a way to get some things home

    win win

ohhhhhhhhhhhhh i guess theres a 3rd... u will get to spend time with your son.. of course that may not be such a good thing

Have him take a Quick Train ride from Tokyo to Akihabara Aka Electric City.

Well worth the Trip. You can find a Volume control for a 50's Radio to the most ultra modern Gizmo That no one but Japan has seen yet.

I suggest you don't take pics inside the parlor, they don't like that at all. to stay on topic, obviously you should go I'll be making a trip there myself sometime this year. cant wait!
This game induces a kind of hypnosis, a strange feeling of happiness. Winning is hardly important. But, time passes. You lose touch with yourself for a while, and merge with a machine and perhaps you forget, what you always wanted to forget.....
