    Default on shipping pachinko balls

    hey guys.

I have an observation, after buying about 10k balls and having them shipped.

if the seller leaves any space in the box and the balls can shift, often the package will burst.

also, if they overpack a box, with tension, it will burst open. see picture below. I think the post office noticed before too many got away... they must think we're nuts when they have all these ball bearings go through the system. my carrier always thinks something broke inside the box

one seller I tried to suggest putting a wad of something to prevent the moving around, and he insisted that the USPS said to do it the way he had (luckily with ziplocks that kept them from getting away mostly)

stopexpress has been the best seller for me: double ziplocks and no space to shift in the boxes, no lost balls.

I agree with your assessment about stopexpress. I have always been happy with their service, product and shipping.

if your buying or selling a larger lot like 2,000 the best way to pack it in 4 of the small priority mail boxes, then put the 4 boxes in a medium flat rate box for shipping under 11.00

I even go so far as to put them in the tyvek prioirty bags before putting them in the small boxes, they seem to travel very well that way

I have shipped three 5000 Sphere boxes with no Breakage this way. 1000 Spheres in a Zip Lock, then 5 Zip Lock bags into the 5 VCR tape size boxes. Taped All corners on the inside of the Flat Rate box with Duct Tape.

The 5 boxes inside the Flat rate box Help it keep it's shape. You need very little padding between boxes. I still laugh when I think back taking them to the post office and they weighed those 60 pound plus boxes.
