I don't know the seller and I have no idea if this is a good deal, but it is in CAD$ so it is slightly cheaper against the $USD but not much since they are almost on par now.

The Lovely Lucy on ebay has been listed for months with a starting bid of $400 with no reserve. Now the starting bid is at $20, but the reserve has not been met. I have no idea what it is worth, but I would gladly pay the $400 if the guy would ship it to me.

After researching the Lucy pinball, I think I'm going to pass. There are several identical (yet restored) machines in the pinball database and on the net, and it looks to me as if the wood case to the Lucy pinball on ebay has been refinished (or stripped!). Check out this photo of what the exterior of the pinball is supposed to look like:



Also, the seller indicates that his/her pinball machine shouldn't be plugged in until it has been fully checked out by someone experienced in pinballs. Considering how long the seller has been trying to sell this machine it makes me think that it probably doesn't work or has some electrical issues or concerns. I'm sure I could fix it with a little work, but what is the overall "antique" value of the machine if the color/designs have been removed? I also wonder why no collectors have swooped in to snag this gem.

Lastly, when I "floated" the idea of this aquisition past my better half, well... let's just say that I would probably need to change my mailing address if I were to purchase something of this size to go inside the house.
