Default remote start for Pachinko machines

    Hello,
I am new to the forum. I was wondering if anyone has come up with any remote start modifications. The remote start would simulate a ball going thru the start portal and initiate the starting sequence to allow the user to play the game without any balls and watch the game in action without shooting milliions of balls. Is there maybe any kind of connection at the DB25 port where the dongle goes?.

you can't do that through the DB25.

Well a ball pass through the start pocket, the signal if I can say so, is momentary lost to the machine, this is how the machine detect a ball has gone through the pocket.

what you could do is use a normally closed switch or button. Normally close mean that the button normally complete the circuit, and when pushed, it break it, so the circuit is open.

If you use this button with a light and battery, once connected, the light would bu turned ON, when you push the button, it will disconnect the light from the battery, turning it OFF.

you can cut one of the two wires of the start pocket, then connect these two extremity to your button/switch. When you will push the button, it will simulate that a ball as gone throw the pocket. You must push and release it without holding it too long, otherwise some machine could think a ball is jammed.

On thing is, when the pocket is activate, it usually pay a little amount of balls. I'm not sure how you would handle this situation if you don't want the balls.

the japanese often make the machines do exactly what you want. in fact, they take the cells out and put those on display

look at YJA to see examples.

there is someone that listed about triggering the start switch manually, I will try to find that. anyone else have the link?

seems like there are kits, too, on YJA to make the machines manual.

    Thanks all,
I will check things out...All more input would be great...seems it would be great if I could take a remote switch from game to game to show it off...

There are lots of ways you could fool the sensor.. Relay with motion sensors or infrared (use a remote), Capacitor/Resisitor trick that you could calculate how often you wanted to trigger it - but then you would need to figure out how you want to disable that feature..

put a blinky led where the start wires connect, it will trigger constant starts. In Japan, they use another female connector with the led attached and plug it in where the start sensor is plugged in. On a Sankyo, it's either the yellow or blue 2 pin connector on the back. Just unplugging and replugging it will trigger a start.
