Default a summary of vintage info. threads, thru 1/2010

OK. my OCD traits had the best of me when I had some time last night, and I read through most all threads on vintages and grouped them into sub-headings for easier finds.

i had a list going for myself, but thought I would go through the threads and post my work to share.

I am certain to have missed some threads, so maybe I can have a moderator update this occasionally? or forward new additions that come along to be added?

    so, here it is...

    Chewy's VINTAGE PACHINKO SUMMARY 1/22/09

    PRICES/WHERE TO BUY
Craigslist: often the best deals are here. Even if not local, some members have convinced sellers to ship. Prices from $10 to $100 depending on condition
Ebay: remember the shipping will be at least $50
So you want to buy a vintage pachinko on eBay... READ FIRST
YJA (yahoo japan auctions) see the pachitalk section on how to find them. Kiai is our proxy (search for keyeye or kiai). figure a couple hundred to ship from japan to US
Garage sales: can get lucky sometimes
    Pawn shops: maybe?

    WHAT TO LOOK FOR
    water stains decrease the value
missing parts on the back decrease value, though some are easy to make
broken front trays or missing ashtrays are hard to replace
are there many clean balls included? figure 4 cents each for these

    thanks guys/gals for the feedback.

since I read the forums so much, I wanted to have a faster way to find those interesting threads that I remembered from "somewhere"

also, don't feel left out if I didn't include your post, I may be OCD, but I am not perfect. And, I put these in reverse chrono order, so that there wasn't bias by "my favorites". the really old ones had pictures and links that were dead, so I could not include some of the posts from page 10, or 2004.

I found some old posts that I had never read, either, from peeps that must have moved on... good to see that some of you are still here, though, after 6 years!

in regards to time... you know that saying about idle minds... mine doesn't idle, it's either high or stop, so I have to do something with the extra brain cycles... I wish I was borg...
