Default 2 questions on older Universal Flipper

I bought a pair of Pachislo machines the other day with one of them being a Universal model named Flipper, complete with dolphin motif. The unit didn't come with a programming key...are these available anywhere or should I fish the 2 wires out and make a manual switch to get this working? It is currently working fine, but I have no idea of what percentage it is set to. The second question is regarding the coin slot...for kicks I put a quarter thru it and it worked identical to the tokens...is this something to be aware of? Obviously I'm not going to use it for gambling as it is for my family, but I was under the impression that these wouldn't accept legit currency. Thanks in advance for any help or insight.

    Welcome to the board!

The easiest thing would be to get the two wires a put a latching switch on it. Typically they don't accept quarters. Someone has modified this machine if it is accepting them. As long as it's in your house and you're not trying to sell it and it still accepts tokens, it should be a problem.
    Meanwhile, somewhere in Oklahoma.

Thanks for the help...and thanks for the warm welcome to the board!
It must be set at a higher payout as my daughter has suceeded in emptying out the hopper after hitting 3 bonus rounds. I discovered that the machine came from an old amusement company, so I guess that explains the quarter operations, although the tokens are pretty close to quarter specs as far as I can see...about the same weight as well. I was expecting the lightweight tokens found in most USA arcades. Does anyone have a vintage for this relic?
