Well, while taking a break from work for a few minutes, I was able to fix the sound board I damaged. The one I ordered from Milt has not arrived yet (may not have even shipped yet). So, the upside is I will have a board that I can test with without fear of damaging too much, since I will now have a new replacement board in case I really zap it beyond repair.

In reading anoter thread on this board, it appears that the sound modification may have been recently completed by a distributor. 50 bucks a shot. Not 100% confirmed, but good news if it is true.
I had fun researching and testing. I wish I was more experienced in it though so I could have offered the "breakthrough" here!
