I recently bought a Neo Pharaoh Zetz which also uses an EL vision display. It arrived with the screen apparently dead. Two connectors to the screen were loose one was very obvious but the other was buried behind the plastic covered video board that is located under the display. Your picture shows the location of that board very well. I had to remove the video board in order to do the reconnection and everything works perfectly now.
