Default Twin Tales volume control question

It's not what you think! It's very quiet and I'd like to turn it UP! Am I missing something?

Default Can't believe what I'm hearing

This machine is LOUD! We must have it on different settings.

Do you know where the volume switches are, if there are any?

Arby! Still giving kisses! And hugs if necessary! I need you!

Dang. I see a two-hour switch-flipping session in my future.

I found the volume switch (well, ok, I called republic, and they told me where it is, that's like finding it, right?). Here is a pic.

Of note, my "Bath House 2004" which is really a "Lockin' Sevens 2003" has the same case but no switch in that spot. So L-pads it is.

    big view

    closer in

There are only three settings, but one of them is really darn quiet, the bottom one.

Just a thought, but if you ever should consider putting it in a cabinet you might want the pot controllers from American Syscom. The top one on this page -- $15 and that includes the shipping for 5 of 'em:

Well, what I have right now is a stereo L-pad, so that will probably be what goes in there, even though it's huge. Thing is, I know the main speaker in the lower front is a regular type speaker, but I haven't been able to get at the tweetery one, so I'm not sure if that's piezo. I'll get back to digging around later, I guess. Right now I'm kind of psyched that my "interesting" cabinet design is coming together, might have my prototype version finished tomorrow, bad angles and all : )

    Default Cabinet Design

    syph,

I'm looking forward to leeching off of your cabinet design when you're finished.

Do you plan on having a ball lifter inside?

I've thought about building an enclosed freestanding case like the pachislos, adding 6-10 inches on the bottom to hold the ball lifter, have a bucket/shelf with sides that collects the balls just above the ball lifter and that feeds into the ball lifter with something like a funnel as the ball lifter is emptied upon raising balls to the reward hopper. It would allow you to store a lot of balls in the base of the cabinet without the risk of overflowing the ball lifter, and may even weigh down the cabinet enough to allow you to open the door without it tipping open. Just a theory!

I'm sure you're going to finish yours first, though. Good luck!

    Default Thanks

By the way, thank you for the post on the volume control. I can't believe how quiet it is now.

I just assumed that this one only had one volume.

    Thanks.
