    Default Off Pachi Hunting.

Well the first stop was in Sacramento. Checked out a model C and Mopar bought it . The next stop was a place called Simi Valley. Their was this lady on Pachi talk that wanted a Pachislo machine that was their. Sure hopes she still does. Then on to El Monte and picked up a nice Circuit racer. From their went to Rancho Cucagmonga and picked up a nice Nishijin that has a few water stains. Am now waiting for another machine that I paid for to arrive. Then on to San Diego with a stop or two in between. Have to stop soon no room left.

Am having trouble posting so many pictures so will add some more on the next post.

some unique machines. nice job on a successful hunt. i had one with the dragonfly centerpiece as well but the rest of the machine was different. a pic of it is in my album but i've since given it away. still one of my favorite center jackpots.

Did not plan on paying that much. Did not pay much more than that for my powerflash. Continued pachi hunting today but the van is about full and at the price quoted could not turn down this machine. Mopar before you start hollering I know it is missing the piece off of the back. Needs a good cleanning.

Going to be in San Diego for a few days and start back towards Reno. Need to unload a few machines to make room.

Stay safe out there LT! You went through my old stomping grounds - I grew up in Corona, CA.

I have already been to his shop and visited with him. You bought one of the machines I was looking at. He sure is a dedicated individual and does put his heart and soul into the work.
When I was their last summer I showed him pachi talk. Quite a nice man.

hey LT, you left a real impression in rancho cucumonga.

I asked the seller if a guy named LT bought it. this was his reply...

No. Some cheap-skate named "Don". I paid $5 at a yard sale for it and agreed to sell it to him for $15 but his wife insisted that he pay me $20. My only way to gauge the value was by going on e-bay and looking at similiar models. As I am always at yard sales and such I will save your e-mail and notify you directly if I happen upon another one. How much would you say the machine was actually worth? With the exception of a faint water spot on the bottom right hand corner the machine was in fine condition cosmetically speaking.
    take care

You notice that he got more than he ask for. Was not going to buy it all but I thought he was in such desperate shape that it was more of a donation. It goes to Mopar for parts or whatever he can make of it.
The only thing I really thought was cool was the original box with the picture and the dragonfly in the middle. As far as the faint water spot you can be the judge.

I sure find it interesting that almost all of the nisihjn that I find have water spots that ruin the looks of the game. The only two exceptions have been the two powerflashs that I found. As far as impressions go if he had not had the two kids in the house he would still have the machine.

Yep waterstains on a prized machine are frustrating to say the least. I haven't noticed them being more prevalent on any make but you see much more machines than I do. What frustrates me the most are stains on arepachis. You'd think they'd be cautious due to the electronics. Then again, these machines were meant to be thrown away...
