Anyone know the name of this Nishijin Pachinko?

Wondering if anyone knows the name or anything about the pachinko my Grandpa gave me, I have a few 70's models but never seen this one before. Please help

That is a great looking Nishijin model 'C', which are harder to find that most other vintage models. You are correct on the date - 1979.

Could you post some close up pictures of the cell (playfield) as well as the back of the machine? That will help us to pick out a name for it. Also, the members here are always hungry for pictures and need to be fed regularly.

Jeff Thank you! its always scary to be new. Ill post up some more pics, My grandpa got this from his brother inlaw he was an Olympic diving coach and brought it back from Japan. I really wish I could find the name of this one

Almost no vintage has an official name. Just what's written on the front (if anything) or by theme (is there is one) or just what people think it looks like.

Personally, I've got a lot called 'Bob'

It is indeed a Nishijin C, and it is called " octopus eats cats and frightens clown."
(Well... that's what I'd call it)

Can't quite make out what the two characters at the top of the center, but the name in the license tag says Sophia - ソフィア, which is the makers name - a division of Nishijin

I'm lucky if I can figure out characters when they're typed, let along freehand like that

I think that is a very nice looking Nishijin and a bit different to the ones we usually see, I like the colours and features
