Default toooo hooot (Pachi went dead)

    Hi all,
I can probably fix it myself, but I thought I'd post here as more of a log than anything, but if anyone's got any suggestions theyre quite welcome

Today we had some visitors over who have a kid, so as usual I powered up my arcade room and stuck him in there after a couple of hours I hear him call out "It's not working!". I thought it got a coin jammed or something so I called back for him to press the coin return button.. turned out not to be the case. the machine has completely lost power and wont show any signs of life. I'm going to guess it was about 46 degrees celcius in the room, and i burned myself on the stepdown transformer (converted to 240v) when I opened the game to have a quick look.

I'll measure power in and out of the stepdown transformer tomorrow, I'm guessing thats where the problem is since it was so hot.

Anyone else had anything like this happen?

it's 100VA, so about 4.15A.. I got it working again with that transformer temporarily, theres a thermal fuse wrapped into the transformer, I just bridged it for now, I dont have another one.. I'll probably try to get a 150VA trasformer eventually, but for now I'll just keep an eye on it on hot days.
