    Default Considering buying Charlie Chaplin...

Let's say, hypothetically, that I found a Charlie Chaplin pachinko, and, hypothetically, that I felt like risking eternal damnation by sneaking in yet another one while on the wagon (temporarily).

Is the machine below a fun one? Worth $70? If, hypothetically, "ball launcher only works part time," that would be a simple adjustment, most likely, right?

I had Pachitalk member once tell me that they never pay more than $50 for a "modern,", and at the time I thought that impossible. But then I managed to get a modern for $25.

Thanks for the input on this machine!

I have a Charlie Chaplin but in the better looking black frame and the nicer cell background art . You do know that it is a Mono-phonic machine and the two buttons ( red and blue) are used for reaches .

It is a fine looking cell and i take mine out of storage to play every so often . It's your call, if your wife likes Charlie Chaplin then maybe you'll be spared the Iron skillet smack on the Head

I've heard it's kinda boring, but I still love all pachis

If your buying them once in a while, I'd say 100 bucks isn't too much for any electronic game. But considering the thin-ness of wallets these days (I call mine the 'Stiletto Walletto!), you gotta try for the best price you can get. Never hurts to offer less, ya never know

Perhaps you could consider offloading some of the ENORMOUS inventory of machines you already have???

    I'm soo jealous...
There is always another machine around the corner...

Thanks for the input and links, as always.
I'll check out out on my lunch break tomorrow. If I like it, I'll offer him $50.

Ahh as for Chaplin...a hypothetical $70 is worth it. It's the same frame and same family as the Robocop, which is a decent machine. If it's anything like Robo in terms of variety, gameplay and sound I'd say go for it...hypothetically of course. But I wouldn't go over a hundred.

I didn't want to post fluff on the other thread, but I think Compirate confused himself. He said to post every machine you OWN and he went and posted every game ever made!!! That, sir, is a MOST impressive collection. I knew you had a lot, but that is staggering.

    Sigh.

I got so busy at work that I couldn't even spare a few minutes to sneak out and do the deed.
Work really gets in the way of my hobbies

Maybe just as well? Wait, did I just say that?
However, it is still available as of a few hours ago.

I got so busy tonight delving into COMPLETELY ripping through my Model A single shot, that I almost forgot about Charlie.
I might be out of my league now, but I just couldn't stop. Wonder if it will ever be together and working

    Hey Sioux,

The best remedy for remembering how to reassemble your pachi is to buy another one for reference. Works for me!
