    Default Heiwa for a buddy.

A co-worker overheard a discussion I was having concerning Pachinko machines and expressed his interest in obtaining one. Coincidentally a machine was listed on Craig's List for $35. Step ahead a few days in the story and I now have the machine that I ended up paying $50 for that included about 900 balls. I think it was a decent deal but thought I get some other opinions.

The machine is a Hewia and the expiration sticker is 52/12. There are water stains on the cell but appear as bad as the 'flash photo' makes them. The center feature has an owl with trumpets below and musical notes. The seller had it set up and working when I arrived and all worked as expected. The main jackpot lever has a paper clip with a couple of nuts hanging on it so I suspect the swivel pins have a bit of corrosion on them. The lights were not working but the seller said he never tried to hook them up. All the wiring seems to be original and in place. The balls were all shiney with no rust. The seller created a 'cover cabinet' which helped it stand up better.

So, take a look at the photos below. Has anyone have or seen a machine like this one? Vintage Pachinko has photos of similiar Hewia but not with this center feature. How do you feel as to the value of this deal (I figured $25 for the machine and $25 for 900 balls.)? All the back covers seem to be there except a small 'tunnel' at the bottom to redirect the balls when they are dumped.

    Thanks in advance!

just further evidence of different manufacturer using the same parts...

I agree that if the balls are in good shape, it was way worth the $14 mopar calculated.
