    Smile whats in a name??

well i have been thinking of this for awhile...

    the question i have is

whats in your name's... if u dont mind sharing.. where did you all come up with your online names at??

mine is kinda obvious.. (well at least to me.)

im into 60's Mopars... and any one would be hard press to argue that fact that Ma Mopar had the best Performance cars built in the 60's and early 70's... the combination was someting My older Brother said one day and it kinda stuck.. in using it online i found that he had allready used it.. so my Girlfriend at the time suggested that i put an "s" at the end..

I got mine when I won $3,000.00 on cash 3 about 10 years ago on Florida lottery, everyone was telling me I was a luckydog
I've used it for my Ebay auction handle since I joined there in 1999.

We had a similar thread a few years ago... I guess we are due for a bump!

I came here frantically seeking help for a machine that arrived DOA. Apparently, my creative side was overwhelmed by my desperation to the point that my username here is just my first initial and my last name. Pretty boring!

Mine was pretty easy to come up with , a few years back I was looking for a name for a new email address and since I live by the beach and I am a leo (the lion) I put it together and became Beachcat. [as a child I was Top Cat so this is new and improved] , needless to say I've been using it ever since

Wink Re: whats in a name??

Before giving in to the addiction that is Pachinko, I was a "flashaholic". I collected flashlights. (Visit CandlePowerForums to see true insanity) During a discussion of new technology flashlights, I postulated a "dark light" that would suck light in, instead of producing it. Much discussion ensued and soon my flashlight friends were calling me Doctor Dark. The name sounded cool and as a goof I registered the nick, DrDark, the rest is history. I've been using this nick for almost 10 years now.

My story is seriously unoriginal and kind of boring. Many years ago I was assigned a company login ID that used the first five letters of my last name, followed by the first two of my first name. Since I have such a common name, they added a "4" after it. Thus, JACKSJE4.

I grew fond of it over the years not only because I typed it every single day to log in to a company network, but also because it is always available as a user name whenever I register on any website. Who else would think to use that combination!?

Anyway, that is my story and I'm sticking with it.

    mudfud = md., ph.d.

that's what they called their md., ph.d., in texas when i visited baylor. been using the term since I got the second degree... piled higher and deeper.

and oddly, when I try to use mudfud at a lot of websites as my login, it's often already taken? guess other people know this one too.

It has been quite a while since this thread was started, but now that we have so many new members I thought it would be a good time to give it a BUMP.

Please feel free to share your story if you are comfortable doing so. My story is in post #9.

Mine is easy my first name actually is Steve and I lived for 5 years in the Philippines where my wife is from.
She is from Cebu island and I knew that city like the back of my hand. I knew all the places that tourists and
foreigners never go. I was the guy to ask about Cebu City.
Someone gave me that nickname at an expat get together and it stuck.
    Not real interesting but true.

Mine isn't overly creative. I have always been an avid poker player, in fact my Grandmother first taught me to play poker when I was around 5 years old. I have hosted weekly games at my house for years. Card Shark was a name that my friends gave me about 15 years ago and it kind of stuck.

Well mine is just as complex as most of yours. (not really) Basically the MX comes from my first name Max and then Faiman is my last name. So there isn't much to it.

When I finally get around to refurbishing my livingroom, I'm going to frame a wall about 6" in from the exterior wall with openings for about 9 pachinko machines. If I do it right...all balls will drain into a box in the corner where a ball lifter will raise them to an overhead hopper to distribute them to all the machines. Hence the name pachiwall. I will also move my pool table and Brains Beer slot machine into there also.
