    Default DIY volume control for Gladiator

    I just finished wiring in a potentiometer to tame the eardrum-shattering ways of my Gladiator 9 Drums.

    I first tried a 25 ohm from Radio Shlack. It did okay at decreasing the volume but overall it sounded like poop. I had to drive pretty far to get what I ended up using at our nearest Fry's, but it works perfectly (I also picked up 2 pachinkos while in that part of the town-- multitasking)
    As you can see, Bananaman shakes his little yellow booty over that one.

    It's part number 501-0003 on this page, if interested:
    Precision KU/RV4NAY Series

    Blue knob in pic below. The biggest challenge was finding a place with clearance in the back for it, while avoiding too much hacking at the stock plastic. I like the location. I'll turn it up for fevers (should I ever hit one).
