    Battery acid damage on main control pcb is often why a Maygay wont boot up, best left alone, the damage may well be past repairing. All Maygay UK machines (M1 and Epoch) have batteries directly soldered to the pcbs and if they are not run regularly in order to recharge, they will burst the battery and burn away at the printed circuits. Expensive !! I They can be modified with a remote battery BUT not after battery burn damage has been done.
