    Default Another Spin Luck story...

Was told yesterday, that it is very possible that only 5000 were made,, but even more peculiar is the fact that al large lot of them were bought and converted . Apparently, a large company in Taiwan bought a large lot of them and tore the machines in half basically. They then added a larger cabinet on the bottom so they were about twice the size and then removed the stop buttons. they also put bandit arms on them and sold them for no less than 1200$ So it looks like its quite possible that even less than 5000 are in circulation. Maks them more and more rare everyday. Daca said he expects no more than 5 more of them this year, and thats stretching it.

Oh ye of little faith! Fine, I'll take the pic as soon as my camera battery charges. Yes, it will have the three leading zero's in front of it! :smt016

I'll even do you one better and show you an anomoly about it that will make it climb in value like that Wisconsin quarter.

Is it normal on IGTs for these 2 numbers to match? On my non-IGT machines the 2 numbers aren't even close, but the only IGT I have right now is the Rattlesnake, and it's 000059 on front and back

I am getting a "green" card, because mine has no numbers, front nor back. :-(
It must be a ilegal Spin Luck, it came thru Canada on a walk across. When some says Imagration, it shakes. :-(

My Spin Luck is 3129 and the numbers match front and back.

As far as I know, the numbers should always match unless someone has deliberately switched parts. It's not uncommon for vendors to swap the entire front door from one machine to another. These things get tossed into a sea freight container and just stacked on top of each other. Some cabinets get damaged, some front doors get damaged. It's fairly common to have someone take a good cabinet (complete with all the electronics) and match it up with a good door from another. That way instead of having 2 scratch and dent machines, they end up with one good one and only one scratch and dent.

I was just at DACA on Wednesday (with Davis) and they had a whole rack section in their warehouse with nothing by front doors.

With these two numbers being only one different, you can't help but wonder if something happend at the factory. 219's belly broke and they stuck 220's in it? Who knows.

My guess would be it came out of the factory correctly serial numbered. Went to a parlor as a batch of machines consecutively serial numbered. The parlor sold them all off at the same time, a whole bunch ended up going to the same importer. A couple got damaged on the way over.

I'd say, for a serious collector, not having the serial numbers match is a big problem. Probably makes the machine worth next to nothing. Hate to see you get stuck with it. I've got a Babel (correctly serial numbered) that I'll trade you for it. :-)

I bet your right. The parlor swapped the doors out possibly since they would have both machines. I doubt it would go out the factory that way.

Now how many Harleys are there?

What a guy Gary! You're always trying to help a fella out! Actually I figure it makes it even more valuable. Where else can you get one like this one. Not that it really matters anyway. The SL is going no where. I thought we were the serious collectors anyway?

I'll take it off your hands, Tulsa. You don't want that worthless piece of crap in your pristine collection. I'll even pay the shipping so you won't have to haul it to the dumpster.
