    Default TILT on ESPN

Wondering if there are other “TILT” watchers out there? This is a weekly series on ESPN showing on Thursday nights. It’s about the glitz and glamour (and crime) of Las Vegas and betting and slots and Texas Poker. The characters are pretty interesting from the casino owner, to the people who want to beat the card shark: Matador.

Hey, even though there are plenty of bad reviews on it, my family really enjoys this show and we have it set to auto-record weekly on the PVR. It seems to go along well with the slot machine addiction – and I rarely watch ANY television other than sports.

If youÂ’ve not watched yet, jump on in and check it out. You can see this weekÂ’s episode as they show it several times after the weekly Thursday showing.

And, if you need to get caught up before you watch, head over to this site and you can see whatÂ’s happened so far.

(BTW, my wife likes it too, because she really likes Michael Madsen.)

Hadn't heard of this show before. I will have to check it out when I get a chance. Thanks for letting us know about it. It sounds like a good show.

    Yeah great show.
It is written by the same guys that wrote the movie Rounders.
If you like Vegas and cards you should like it.

I just have to say that this show sucks big time.

I saw the first one and what was with the BJ in one of the shots? I play a lot of poker and this show gives the game a bad name. A total waste of time.

I was really looking forward to this show and it is just like all the other crap on TV with Violence, Sex, etc. I would love to see something fresh. I have no idea how you could watch this show with your family. I would be embarrassed to be with anybody in the same room watching it with me.

Save yourself and watch something else.

(Can You tell I hate this show?)

So how do you really feel about TILT?

I saw it last week after I saw this post...It was ok, I'll give it another shot and take it from there. Probably not a good family show, but my 9 month old is asleep when its on. :-)

They recommend no one under 14 watch without parental guidance. I have to say I didn't see the BJ scene you mention, but there is a lot of violence, innuendos, cussing and some sex. Sounds about like everything else on TV these days!

Although this show won't likely win any prizes, the gambling/Las Vegas theme is entertaining.

I agree the first show was nothing to brag about, but I've seen every episode and it has drawn me in. I play alot of poker online and live, and that is what brought me to watch it. I'd say by the 3rd episode I was hooked. Those that don't like sex, violence etc. might as well go out and get an old 8 track player and listen to the oldies, because you can't turn on radio or tv these days without it being on.

For those that havn't seen this show yet, you'd probably be lost if you started watching now. I'd reccomend watching the first 4 episodes (I'm almost certain you can download them somewhere  ) then switch to ESPN on Thursday night (you might have to wait for the basketball game to be over) at 8 or 9 pm. They play the newest episode back to back.

Amen, to what you said DaStooge.

To get caught up, all you gotta do, though, is go here. At the site there are synopsis of all the shows, etc. In about 20 minutes you can get pretty much up to speed.

What's wrong with a little Black Jack in a poker show?

Not sure if this comment was a joke or not because you did not have a  by it (hard to tell in a forum). But anyway the "Matador" says something like "I need to go relieve myself" as he heads to the bathroom and then when the opens the door there is a hooker in there waiting for him and she drops to her knees and plays a little "Black Jack" - I was pretty surprised.

I would not be surprised if they took this part out of the reruns. This is something you would see on HBO, not ESPN.

Your right, I guess that is why I don't watch TV much and when I do it is usually Seinfeld or old Gunsmoke reruns.

Well I like the NFL channel or the Golf channel. If they start showing sex on those, I'm just going to give up on TV altogether!
    Meanwhile, somewhere in Oklahoma.

I like action, sex , violence as much as the next guy, but Tilt just hasnt done much for me. Its liek they are trying too hard to be like Quentin Tarantino.

That is a very astute observation. All in all, it's not that bad of a show but I won't go out of my way to watch it. They usually run it several times a week at all different times. If I see it great if not, so be it. :-)
