Nishijin B vs Sanyo Comet II - payout balls
I'm finally done restoring these 2 little beauties (okay, in reality, the Nishijin is a bit on the ugly side) and am playing them.
I noticed that the Nishijin pays out all of it's balls in the shooter tray while the Sanyo pays out 8 in the shooter tray and 7 in the cash out bin.
Is this typical? Adjustable in any way? Not that either bothers me, just curious.

there is a diverter deep inside the bottom of the machine...
most all machines are set up to put all winning balls in the upper hopper.. once the upper hopper is full the diverter kickes in and transfers the balls to the bottom tray... as u play balls then balls will once again be dumped to the top hopper as nesasary..
i have never been that deep into a machine but there was a thread that showed it.. as i rember the diverter was hard to install correctly..

Yes, sounds like you have the diverter a little messed up (wrong position). It's easy to do if you take them apart that far.

I noticed that with my comet II also. there's an L shaped plastic piece that has to be in the correct position.
sanyo comet II empties to bottom tray?
